This course offers an overview of the general principles of how nutrition intersects with cancer care. The learner will learn about ways to use food to help patients overcome problems they may experience during treatment; lessons will cover cachexia/anorexia, the role of nutrition can play to improve patient outcomes and improve symptom management, resources available to assist in patient care plans and about the importance and role of a dietitian on the oncology multidisciplinary team.
