Prostate cancer – the most common non-skin cancer in men and the second leading cause of cancer death – develops most often in older men. Prostate cancer is defined as “advanced” when it spreads outside the prostate gland. It may spread to nearby tissues, lymph nodes, bones, or other parts of the body.

This is a case-based activity that includes discussion of a 64-year-old male who presents with a palpable left neck mass, and found to have a right firm nodule in the prostate following digital rectal examination.

  • At the end of this course, learners should be able to:
  • Identify prognostic markers of patients with advanced prostate cancer
  • Determine the appropriate first-line therapy for metastatic castration-sensitive prostate cancer (mCSPC)

Discuss the pros and cons of available therapies for mCSPC

IMPORTANT NOTE: This course expires on January 31, 2020. Participants must complete all necessary course components by this date.
